DISCUSSION TOPIC

On April 16, 2020, the $349 billion Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), ran out of funding as companies applied for relief. On April 24, 2020, an additional $310 billion was made available. Since the PPP funds ran out, there has been significant criticism of “large” companies who applied for PPP loans. The news media is closely watching and recent guidance from the SBA and Treasury Department emphasizes that “large” companies (or companies owned by “large” companies) face significant risks if they do not return their loans before May 7, 2020.
